Scene Nights

Play Cafe hosts a monthly Scene Night on the second Thursday of every month to provide a friendly space for writers of all skill levels to bring pages for a cold reading and optional feedback.

We meet at Language Studies International at 2015 Center Street, between Milvia and Shattuck in Berkeley (one block from the Downtown Berkeley BART Station).

Playwrights of all skill levels are invited to bring material of up to twenty minutes of reading timeĀ  (using “standard play format”) for a cold read by skilled actors followed by optional feedback from the writers and actors in attendance. Scene Nights are moderated by theater professionals and we welcome new and familiar faces.
